Interior Design Predictions for 2023

Interior design trends come and go, but if you’re currently in the process of designing your home, buying a new one, or just doing a space refresh, you might be wondering what the next big interior design trends are. In this months blog, we outline the design trends that are here to stay in 2023, as predicted by the top home designers.

  • Dare we say beige is back?! It’s no secret that beige has been creeping its way back over recent years, as designers are moving away from cool grey tones and working with warmer neutrals. Warmer tones are seen as more welcoming and inviting in your home. By using a smooth natural texture, designers say that this has a little more personality than greys.

  • Green Green Green! It is expected that we will see green everywhere. More specifically ‘mossy’ greens.  Emerald green earned the top color spot of 1stDibs’ designer survey for the third year in a row and sage was the runner-up.

  • Staying sustainable. Designers say sustainability is not a revelation but homeowners will be using more earth-friendly practices than ever. From growing your own herbs on the kitchen windowsill to using recycled materials for your major furniture and decorative supplies.

  • Going transparent. Designers have predicted that transparent objects, with an airy and lightly tinted design can make your room look brighter and more spacious. This can help with smaller rooms and spaces in your home.

  • Vintage eclectic. Eclectic style is taking many elements from various sources and combining them to style your home. You can take various pieces from different styles and eras to create a contemporary design space. Designers have stated that this is the best way to make your home more ‘you’.
